Meals on wheels Ti-Ratana ( MOW ) to CAMERON HIGHLANDS FLOOD on Sunday 10 November 2014

Meals on wheels Ti-Ratana (MOW) to  CAMERON HIGHLANDS FLOOD on Sunday 10 November 201
The Cameron Highland flood caused Ringlet town, Ringlet New Village and Kampung Ulu Merah Ringlet to be submerged in knee-deep muddy water after continuous heavy rain causes Sungai Ringlet to overflow its banks.

We purchased 1) Towels 2) Blankets 3) Canned Food 4) Biscuit5) Soap and took along with us donated goods.

We left at 5.30am on the 'Baby Van' where else 'Mama Van' left earlier at 4.30am.

It was a bright and sunny day and the Ketua Kampung received us warmly, taking us around the affected area. It was a very a heartbreaking scene.

The lucky ones tare able to clean their house to move back into their home,  some unfortunately have to vacate and the leaving the rest with destroyed homes.

The community hall of Taman ringlet was used as a temporary shelter for those who are unable to move back into their home.

After unloading all the goods, we prepare ourselves to give a helping hand to the victims' house and all the road, pathways that is blocked with rubbish, debris and mud.

MOW FOOD BANK families expanded to 17, with the addition of 2 families, one from PPR Taman Beringin (Mdm Ng) and the other from PPR Sg Bonus (Pn Noraziah).

Groceries were delivered by MOW volunteers on 30 June 2013. At PPR Desa Rejang, families helped to unload the groceries from the vehicle.

MOW FOOD BANK - May groceries delivered in time for school holidays

We made sure the groceries for our 15 families were delivered at the start of the school holidays to ensure the children have food at home while their mothers are at work.

The usual group of MOW FOOD BANK volunteers (Bro Ivan, Andrew, Chee Meng, Swee Keong, Steven, Kim and her husband) handed over groceries to the families last Sunday, 26th May, 2013, as always, clad in Meals on Wheels tees and wearing a BIG SMILE:)

The children were delighted with the goodies, as they get to have their favorite easy-to-cook instant noodles for their meals at home, as well as biscuits for snacks. Simple foods these may be, but at least they will not go hungry at home. Even a simple meal of steam rice and eggs is healthy and yummy.

On behalf of these children, we would like to thank our donors for MOW FOOD BANK May 2013:
